From Galilee, and considered one of the greatest players of the Oud of his generation. Born at Haifa, Kheiro Mustafa Shaalat learned to play the Oud at the age of 10 from his father. He later refined his talent with the greatest players which enabled him to uncover all the subtleties of the Taqâsîm (solo musical improvisations much appreciated in the traditional culture of the Middle East)... His own style of playing, both in technique and virtuosity, together with his inborn ability to improvise and the power of his interpretations, have made him today a musician and instrumentalist of legend... He is a member of the Ensemble "D'une seule voix", which brings together a hundred or so musicians both Israeli and Palestinian
