In this album dedicated to the memory of her recently-deceased husband, the remarkable ngoni and guitar player Mamaye Kouyaté, Mah Damba has gathered three of her children around her: Guimba Kouyaté, who was taught the guitar by his late father, and Sira and Woridio Tounkara on background vocals, who are following their mother’s steps. Mah Damba has also summoned Jean-Jacques Avenel (double-bass), Makan Tounkara (ngoni), Silima Sakoné (bass ngoni), Mamadou Diabaté (ngoni-, Mado Sacko (djembe) and Yacouba Sissoko (guitar and tama talking drum)
